Another horrific gang rape of a photo journalist in Mumbai has shook the nation yet again. Yesterday a 22 year old photo journalist in Mumbai was gang raped by 4 men in an abandoned mill. The girl and her male colleague were lured by these men. The male colleague was bound and beaten while the girl was taken somewhere in the compound where she was gang raped. She is said to be in a stable condition now according to the doctors. Mumbai is considered to be safe for women but truth be told, women in India are not safe anywhere. No lessons have been learnt from the December 16 gang rape of a medical student in Delhi. This is only one highlighted case amongst so many others that go unnoticed and unreported. The sick and pathetic mentality of such men has ruined the dignity of women and we citizens are just watching the show, not getting involved. So who wants to wait for their own mother, daughter, wife or sister to be brutally raped before waking up to this atrocity?
