Another important victory last night: Washington state voters agreeing that its perfectly reasonable to prevent felons, people convicted of some drug crimes, fugitives, and people who have been civilly committed for mental-health issues from obtaining guns. In case youre about to cry foul, other Washingtonians are not infringed upon in any way. Same background checks they would get (and presumably pass) buying a gun from a dealer. Guns still available for everyone who had the right to own one yesterday! Anyone who tries to argue that having to have a background check for a private gun sale is TOO HIGH A PRICE TO PAY to keep guns out of the hands of felons, please unfriend me instead.
