Another live performance from my album Lyre of the Levites: Klezmer Music For Biblical Lyre - track 7, an arrangement for my evocation of the ancient 10-string Biblical Kinnor, based on the traditional Klezmer melody Dobriden (Greeting the Wedding Guests. The concept of this album, as well as my first album, King Davids Lyre: Echoes of Ancient Israel, was to evoke a feeling of the music of ancient Biblical times - as there is evidence from the lifes work of the late Suzanne Haik Vantoura to suggest that the ancient musical modes still heard today in both traditional Jewish sacred and instrumental Klezmer music indeed had their roots in the music once played and sang by the Levites in the Temple of Jerusalem, I based these 2 albums mostly on arrangements for Biblical lyre, of melodies adapted from the traditional Jewish Klezmer and sacred music repertoire... https://youtube/watch?v=Dztf4hzdOcc
