Another of my favorite quotes. Sometimes we cannot escape having - TopicsExpress

Another of my favorite quotes. Sometimes we cannot escape having thorns in our lives, but we can acknowledge gratitude that there are roses, however small. Ive a tiny, little teacup rose bush that I planted with four others in my little flower bed, back when we first moved here, years ago. The other four died fairly quickly, for some reason, but this one survived. Actually, she didnt just survive - she bloomed, usually only between one to three, tiny roses, but in October, which is late Autumn, here! I absolutely loved that she was a bit quirky, and brightened up the end of the warmer days of the year, for me! A few summers ago, we had to transplant her, out of the bed and then back in, while a little patio was installed. I was so afraid she wouldnt bloom, or would only bloom in June, which is more typical. The next June, she bloomed, and while grateful she survived, I was almost disappointed! I remained hopeful, just as much out of curiosity as anything else. Was my little friend a normal, little thing, now? Sure enough, the little one bloomed AGAIN in October! I was so excited! :) The next summer, she bloomed again in June, but I believed. Her petals dried and blew away, but soon, in *August*, she bloomed, yet again! I was thrilled, but not nearly as much as when I looked down in late October or early November, to see her shining in her little blooms, once again! Ive no idea how, nor why, she has been doing this. She did it twice, and is ready to bloom again, now, leading me to think shell bloom even again, this year. All I know is that she gives me hope that the extraordinary can rise out of what can seem to be the most ordinary of things! I think Id be willing to bet that you think there is a lesson in this story, and I think there are at least a few! But I think you could tell me what you think, instead of my feeding them to you! So...what do you think? ;) Thanks to Mindful Family for this great post!
