Another one saved I wasn’t always like this I was just like you If in my shoes what different would you do A wife and two kids a good job and house First went the job and then the home The saving were gone we were all alone In my own hell sadly I found the Jack Yes it masked the pain, but left no way back My love my wife she gave me her praise But in reality she had two children to rise One night while in my drunken state They all slipped away not leaving a trace Now two years later and things are worse Why do I keep living life is just a curse I live on the streets I sleep in a box Oh what I’d give for a room with a bed A pillow for my head and a door with a lock Today in a can looking for food It’s been two days since … Hey… As I turned a young man tossed me a gun In a flash he was gone man could he run Here I set in my “home” tired cold hungry and alone Should I put a stop now to all that I am? With the barrel in my mouth I know I can “Go ahead and do it” it was the same young man You’re worthless and useless far less than a man So go ahead and die no one will care Squeeze the trigger you fool life is not fair Show some guts at least once in your miserable life Remember you owe for the pain to your wife You’re nothing but garbage that’s all you will be Make this world better by just ending your life I squeezed the trigger the hammer started to fall NO I heard from a blinding white light There’s more to your life this is not all A man standing there a glow at his head God wants you alive but Satan wants you dead Let my show you the love that God does spread He turned and looked at the standing young man Whose face was now covered with an evil grin? No Satan, not this time no you will not win Many you’ve turned but you won’t have him He took from me the piece of blue steel It must be the wine this can’t be real He smiled as he closed his hand on the gun And from between his fingers the blood did run He looked at the young man and said Satan Gather your crew Make them your best all strong and hardy I’m filled with Gods strength I’M READY TO PARTY! From his waist came a long shiny blade Into the darkness he swiftly moved away When he returned a warm smile on his face I asked what happened but all he would say I guess “Luc” wasn’t really ready to play I asked who are you and why are you here My name is Michael God wants you near Why would he want me I have nothing to give? All he wants from you is in his glory to live To you blessing on blessing he’s waiting to give Just trust in God and his son our Lord His love and grace are waiting just open the door And then he was gone lifted away in the light I turned my life over to Jesus that night I found a church with an old preacher inside I begged him to help me to find a new life We prayed and I cried a new Peace did find My eyes are wide open I am no longer blind As I started to leave the old preacher I asked How do I thank God for saving my life Give him the Glory by finding your wife
