Another part of the tree is filled, Johann von Schleiden Born Abt 1350 of, Schleiden, North Rhine-Westphalia, is 15th Grgrandfather on the Whistleman line. His residence was still in existence until WW2, but there is a park on the Rhein River where it stood. He was part of the DeLinge/Delanoy line. of Luxembourg and later Leiden NL. The photo and etching are of Schloss Schleiden, descendants of Johanns who were not of in our direct line were some kind of big monkeys in the power of the time and were granted lots of land and titles, but of course, nothing was left to me. The unusual thing is that I drove near this town dozens of times, as I was stationed at Geilenkirchen which is west of here many times on my travels to and from Egelsbach to Geilenkirchen.
