Another productive day finally over. All I have left downstairs to can is the pears. Zeke has discovered he also likes pears...yay?! I spent two hours cleaning his cage today and generally just spending time with him - he loves it when his cage gets cleaned because I shower him with attention the entire time I spend cleaning it. Admittedly it takes longer than it should because I spend so much time talking to him - and him me. He gets really animated - he has the bob and weave down pat. lol...He flipped himself over onto his back and just chattered away to him. Then all of a sudden he sticks a foot on one post on the top of his cage and flipped himself over sideways. So Yes, I now have a bird that knows how to barrel roll - like an airplane! Go figure!! I call him a crazy bird all the time, and every time I do he does something else crazy. Hes actually gotten very brave recently- hes trying all sorts of new things. He starting to play with/chew/and climb on things that swing and things that are not strictly stable. So its not uncommon to walk in the room and see him hanging upside down from a toy like a bat. lol....he might be a crazy bird but hes our crazy bird and we love him!
