Another push in attempt to get some volunteers to help out with the NEO exercise coming up on the 14th. For more info, please see below. Hey Spouses... Theres another NEO (Non-combatant Evacuation Operation) Exercise approaching - November 14th, typically only taking about 2 hours - and Col Jordan is encouraging her unit spouses to partake in this great volunteer opportunity to strengthen our awareness and preparedness of island evacuation in the case of an emergency. Keeping in mind that our active duty spouses will remain on island to do their jobs, therefore leaving us to evacuate alone (or with children) without them and their assistance. Not only does this allow us to anticipate the procedural steps to evacuation and determine how prepared we really are, we can help those responsible for our safe evacuation to practice and perfect!! Just as SF partakes in base wide exercises, the Unit responsible for safely evac-ing dependents has their exercises as well. Please mark your calendars for the morning of Nov 14!! The more the better to get the full effect. Bring your kiddos and your NEO folders with all your info! (That brown folder you were given when first arriving on Okinawa that took 2 weeks to fill out!
