Another quick question (aside from all of these in depth advance mechanically great questions and pictures, lol). 1997 Eagle Talon ESi. 420a with the 4 speed auto w/ OD. Now I know they for sure arent fast, but this thing, I mean. Are they really that slow? I cant even spin my tires off the line. Not to mention, my buddy beat me in his 3400 SFI Chevy Venture tonight, lmao. Now before any of you start bashing about racing, we were just testing some quick runs to see how the Talon was running after I put in the new control arm. Im just trying to see if anyone else out there feels differently about their 420a? I know they arent fast in any sense at all, but I feel as if this thing is just TOO slow. Like not up to par? I bet if I clocked it with a stopwatch, I would get a 0-60 sprint in over 13 seconds?!?!? Any input, my 420a friends??? Preferably only responses from people with the automatic, as I know spinning the tires off the line with a manual isnt much of a challenge at all. How is your jump off the line? My car completely flat lines out until I get around 4k or so.
