Another rant about the healthcare system... I agree, Dont you? I have spent almost a month caught up in a perpetual anti-climactic circle jerk known as the health care system. As a nurse, i have to say i am absolutely disgusted with what i have encountered on the patient end over the past couple of weeks. I diagnosed myself weeks ago and sat in front of three doctors who have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars on xrays, sonograms, ct scans, labs etc and have come to the same diagnosis i did w common sense,which for most ppl is free. The sad thing is delays in diagnosis cost ppl time, money, pain and sometimes their life. Long gone are the days of drs who listened to their patients, most drs nowadays have pissed all over the Hippocratic oath, and have forgotten the fundamental concept of first do no harm . There is so much waste in health care its sickening, all this technology has caused some health care professionals to stray from the basics and its really just sad. People, If your dr doesnt listen to you, move on to another dr!!! ~Carolann F.
