Another reason I rarely go to the beach/ocean: after gathering all the crap needed to go there with a 16-month-old and fighting CRAZY traffic, I get there and they are closing the gates and wont let traffic on the beach because the tide is coming in!!! There is a tiny amount of off-beach parking because we CAN park/drive on our beach. So after all this, we came home and set up the inflatable baby pool in the backyard. I could have done that to begin with and saved a lot of hassle, frustration and time!! And now I dont have to spend time cleaning sand and saltwater off everything. Note to self...when I get the crazy notion to go to the beach again!
