Another recent discovery I made of old Seaford. Especially - TopicsExpress

Another recent discovery I made of old Seaford. Especially important to me as these are family members. This is at the intersection of High and Cannon streets and as you can see the streets of Seaford in 1916 were very muddy. The boys are my 1st cousins 1x removed, Harry and Herman Bowden and their father Benjamin (Bert) Bowden my Grand Uncle. The building in the background is the First National Bank of Seaford founded in 1865 by Governor William Cannon. It merged with the Bank of Delaware in 1959. The Bowdens had a sawmill and lumber business North of Seaford near Cannon and also a car garage and Silver King tractor business at the intersection of Rt 18 and 13 which is still listed on state maps as Bowdens Garage!
