Another sampler from my book of poetry, “The Rhymes of My Life”. Life is a profound experience. Everyone that contemplates it, comes to this conclusion... “The View From Here“ I spend long hours in contemplation, upon How my world has evolved... The challenges I’ve overcome, the lessons Learned, the mysteries solved... My life is now, more like a river, sweeping Me toward the Sea... Swelling, stretching, flooding, raging, and Crushing every boundary.... My dreams have brought me vivid visions, of Lives that I have lived before... The situations that I faced, in the various Bodies that I wore... Some of them humorous, some of them grave, coming and going in frenzied haste... Some reaching for the shiniest fruit, that Often left a bitter taste... I’ve traveled the lower worlds for ages, Beckoned by a silent call... And a distant memory, of a Great Love, Flowing like a Majestic Waterfall... I’ve gone through lifetime after lifetime, like a Leaf drifting on the wind... A slave to the will of my human nature, Unaware of a wondrous truth within.... But then I found this blessed truth; it Awakened me to the reality.... That I am soul, the Love of God, that arose Out of the Primordial Sea... To ride the Wings of Evolution, until through Grace, I earned my own... At which time, this blessed Truth would Set me free, and lead me home... It seems I’ve covered a lot of ground, like Thousands of lifetimes, all in one... And with all that I’ve experienced thus far, it Seems I’ve only just begun... I cannot but feel a sense of awe, as I realize What it all means... That I am much more than mere human; I’m Destined for far greater things... There’s a certain feel of eternal-ness, that’s With me no matter what I do... And I always feel the deep and abiding love of Spirit flowing through... Telling me that I am this moment, the total, The sum of all that I’ve been... Which makes me now, this very moment, the best that I have ever been... I’m convinced that I’m traveling my main Road; my eyes Are opened, and my way is Clear... I could go climb the highest mountain; but That wouldn’t top the view from here... And once I’ve solved the final riddle, and I’ve Stripped away the last clinging vine... The possibilities are endless; they literally Boggle my feeble mind. More at this link.
