Another song: Gloom despair and agony on me. Deep dark depression, excessive misery...... Does this song describe how you feel sometimes? I know one guy who felt that way. His name was Peter. He was in a boat and a major storm came up. Gloom despair! He knew all was lost. Deep dark depression! As he looked out he saw someone walking out in the water. As he found out it was the Lord. Peter challenged Him saying that if you can do it, why dont you let me. Jesus told him to come on and Peter walked on the water too.... for a minute anyway. Youve got to understand that the storm didnt quit. The waves were still there, and the wind was still blowing , but Peter was walking on water. Until that moment that he took his eyes off Jesus and focused on the things around him. Then he started to sink. The Hebrew writer tells us to keep our eyes on Jesus, the author a and finisher of our faith. Maybe if we do that, thus sing wont apply to us any more.
