Another tip from the novices for the novices: Getting the fridge - TopicsExpress

Another tip from the novices for the novices: Getting the fridge to work on gas. WE FOUND THE SOLUTION EVENTUALLY, HOORAY! (I posted a while back on this). After 15 months and purchasing a spirit level to make sure we were level...it turns out that you need to be patient when starting it up. The gas flow button needs to be held down long enough for the slow moving (VERY slow moving) needle to move from the red to the green zone. You hardly notice it moving at first. Our apologies to the people at Dometic and Cub who we accused of all sorts of things as we passed one, then two, then three hundred unsuccessful clicks on our long journey to success. Sadly, we found the advice/solution on an instructional video at the website of another manufacturer. It would be great if Cub put a series of instructional videos on their website relating to things like the fridge, adjusting the canvas and annex, dealing with uneven ground and things like that....maybe they have them but I cant find them there. Then again, it took us over a year to get the fridge working!
