Another turtle rescued, after being seen with fishing line trailing from its body. Unfortunately, the hook seems to be in the intestine and the line trailing from the Chloaka (female organ). It was impossible to do anything at the harbour, so Nikos, Chanel and volunteers from Wildlife Sense are departing immediately for the ferry to take them to the Glyfada turtle rescue centre nr Athens for an operation. It is hoped that the turtle can be returned to Kefalonia to continue with breeding on the shores that she knows so well. With thanks to helpers at Argostoli as well as the Port Police and most importantly, the divers/swimmers of wildlifesense who essentially `steered` the turtle to shore!!
