Another unbelievable day for this girl. She is now completely off of oxygen, and she walked around the ICU unit twice. She spent a lot of time sitting on the couch looking out the window. She seems to be dealing with the pain better and is becoming so much stronger everyday. Her PH Dr came in today and is so amazed with her recovery and thinks we may be able to go home...wait for it.....TOMORROW. Thats right, a discharge from the cardiac ICU which is nearly unheard of. This is about a week ahead of schedule.Brooklyn has a lot of rehab to do but they feel she may do it better at home. Still may be a month before she can go back to school for a couple hours a day. Its been kinda fun tonight because the staff that took care if her the first night, when she was incredibly unstable are back tonight and are completely blown away that this is the same kid from a week ago!!!
