Another update: Back to work for me! I just finished my first full week back to work after 3 months and it kicked my butt! I do wish I had a few more months off, and I had to prepare “my head” mentally to get back into the flow of working and doing treatment. I’m grateful to be well enough to get back to work, even though I was feeling sick when I went back to work; ahh!! Life. The biggest challenge for me is getting enough rest which is hard for my “get ‘er done” personality; a trait I got from my beautiful mom! And my awesome and patient husband continues to remind me to rest while he takes on more of the chores. I continue to treat my scoliosis three times a week to help with the flow of my system, another adjunct in healing, in addition to many other things. I’ve been dealing with this cancer for 5 years and probably have had it at least 5 years prior to being diagnosed. Basically, my treatments are going to last a while and I’ve finally resigned myself to realizing I’ll most likely be living with this cancer for the rest of my life. So, I’m taking the cancer word out of my vocabulary, will continue to be proactive with the doctors I’m working with and will move forward in a positive direction. I’m staying in touch with “Oasis of Hope” and hope to do additional treatments at a future date. I’ve had many ups and downs throughout the last 3 months of this more intensive treatment. Lots of crying, fear of the unknown, anger, grief, etc… All of this has just strengthen my faith and brought me into a closer relationship with Jesus by experiencing his grace in my life. I’ve experienced and have taken the apostle Paul’s inspired words from God to heart and am finally learning to live my life this way: Philippians 4:11-13 (NIV) 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength. AMEN!! I LOVE GOD’S WORD. My heart has been touched over and over again by the kindness of so many people. I’ve let go of so much unnecessary “stuff”, feel less stress in my life, feel changed, love the people in my life and continue to grow. Geoff and I are more than grateful to everyone who has donated to us to help me get to this point. In addition to the people who have donated to our fundraiser page we’ve also received over three thousand dollars in donations by mail from many friends, family and people we don’t know. What a blessing and gift!! We are still keeping our fundraiser page open. I will continue to check FB to see how everyone is doing and give future updates . So, tonight I am treating myself to a delicious chocolate glass of wine. That’s right, chocolate. It’s called ChocolatRouge Dark Red, a find red wine with dark chocolate flavors, very yummy. My hubby is a beer geek with a large variety of chocolate stouts, something I’ll enough in the future. Back to juicing tomorrow, ha! Until next time!! Love you all xxxxx
