I set up to change the course of Hollywood and the course of the Country. I knew what I was doing. I was there for about a year and a half. I was in a position to change the country! Or so I thought. There was a multimillion dollar policy that was launched against the studio. A set of dirty tricks to bring us down. Laird was worth millions of dollars he bought the studio with cash. He got his money through tax shelters and not with the mob or anything illegal. Laird bought a piece of land off the Desert Inn. I had the things going. Obviously the Government was working to put us out of business. I was able to get the property that Glick had purchased from the Starlight and I had made a deal with them for the land which was owned by Glicks girlfriend. I am not a very good businessman but laird had millions. I guess it was his intention to be a self supporting millionaire like Howard Hughes and the Government was not interested in that.”
