Anthony Sinniah EFL English Language Teacher, Corporate Trainer in Business English and ABE Lecturer. I am writing this evaluation of Imran’s course, as I rate the value it represents, in relation to student learning, where speech is concerned. This is based upon what I have seen and read about the course that he has developed and delivers. There is a logical structure to the course, in terms of the cohesive interrelationship between the modules. The course covers complete “Sounds Training”, covering the twenty-six letters of the English alphabet. Additional content includes, the “rules” of certain letters, the pronunciation of “numbers”, the “linking” of various sounds regarding the speech of words in sentences. The appropriate application of different grammar points, within the contexts of spoken “American English”, is also focussed upon. This is a carefully thought out, detailed and in-depth course, which is relevant and of beneficial value, for students who wish to learn how to speak “American English”. Please let me emphasise that this is based upon what I have viewed, where Imran’s integrity as a professional teacher and course designer has been stated on “Linked In”. On this basis, I can recommend Imran’s course, as an effective one, which enables students to develop an “American Accent”, where the expression of spoken English is concerned.
