Antionette Amos Rielly My son (18 years old) was robbed in Greenacres two weeks ago. He was approached by a young coloured male saying he sells cell phones. He said that he noticed my son has a Samsung S3 and can trade it in with an additional R300 for a later model. He then proceeded to make a call, and a lady then spoke to my son, claiming she is from Vodacom, and said that it is a promotion. My son phoned me asking what I think, and I said under no circumstances. He then told the coloured man he not interested. After walking around in Greenacres for a while, my son went into the bathrooms on the floor where the banks and Omega Security are. The coloured man must have followed him, cause as my son turned around this man pulled out a knife and demanded everything. Including the phone. His wallet with money etc... I am wanting to know if anyone else has been approached by this man. He wears coin earrings. Probably around 25 years old? He has been arrested, but by looks of things he is going to be let out again as the footage (which is only a small portion of the event) shows him and my son talking, and the police reckon that something does not add up .... very conveniently.
