Any business lawyers out there? Due to mistakes with our initial incorporation, 1st Saturdays, Help the Homeless has been unable to get non-profit status and has incurred $1000s in taxes and penalties that the founders have had to incur. Before we shut it down and start from scratch, weve been advised by an accountant that a biz lawyer could help convert our LLC tax status from a partnership to a regular corporation and help us modify and re-submit our Articles of Incorporation. If you know how to do that, can you give me an estimate of what you would charge? (or if you are unavailable, what we might expect to pay someone else?)
