Any treasure other than Jesus will enslave you. Money, stuff, whatever it is, it says do whatever it takes to get me. Jesus says no, you dont have to do anything. Ill do whatever it takes to get YOU. He is the true treasure. We dont give because of what we can get in return, we give because Jesus makes us generous. Its not about us. Everything we have comes from God so it should make sense for us to use what He has blessed and entrusted us with to further His kingdom. We plant the seed but its God who produces the harvest. The crop, the field, even the seed, its all His. God has given you what you have so you can do what He has called you to do. Great message on generosity this morning from Josh Bradley.
