I would GREATLY - GREATLY appreciate your helping in spreading the word to anyone and everyone you can think off! We here at Cabela’s want to give these 5 individuals a warm Grand Forks/East Grand Forks welcome! They certainly deserve it! Summer has finally arrived and we at Cabela’s in East Grand Forks are continuing our tradition in honoring those who have served and risked their own life for the freedom of ours! On Friday, June 20th we will be honoring 5 individuals from around the US who are flying into Grand Forks before a weekend fishing trip to Lake of the Woods with local organization, Fish Addiction in conjunction with Hunters Helping Heroes, a national recognized organization whose sole mission is to help those who have served reclaim their love for the outdoors once again. Please join us in welcoming these men and women to our community! When: Friday, June 20th Where: Cabela’s, East Grand Forks Time: 2:00pm --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Below are brief descriptions of those we will be honoring: Sgt. Adam Hartswick and his Mother (Morgen Hummel) - double leg amputee out of Pine Grove Mills, PA stepped on an IED in Afghanistan while serving in the Army as a Senior Combat Medic responding to wounded soldiers who were caught in an ambush. He is from Pennsylvania but is still undergoing treatment at Walter Reed Medical Center, MD. centredaily/2014/05/25/4194336/adam-hartswick-remembers-friends.html# TSgt Brian Williams - single leg amputee, Bronze Star and Purple Heart recipient still Active Duty Air Force with the 87th Security Forces Squadron at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ. Kyle Balduf - Kyle is the twin brother to Marine Sgt. Kevin Balduf who was killed in action (KIA) 12 May 2011 in the Helmand province, Afghanistan while supporting combat operations.
