Anybody with some knowledge of macro economics must by now have concluded that the public wage bill in Kenya is not sustainable. The presidents gesture is well intended but nothing much will be achieved. what is needed right now is mental and cultural revolution. ..a realisation that state jobs are not for self enrichment. ...but this will not happen soon due to greed and a defective value system. what will save Kenya from her exploitative elite is what in political philosophy is known as tragedy of the commons. ....where over exploitation of common resources leads to systemic collapse causing suffering to all and sundry including the exploitative elites. ...This will force our childrens children to sit down and create an equitable Kenya.
