Anyone else experienced offshore call center hell? Argh! I did twice this morning. You know the Customer Service in the US is busy or its a weekend when the person answering speaks in a thick accent and cannot answer your questions. This is why: --I never call the airlines on a weekend if I can help it --When I get an offshore person who is struggling, I immediately ask to be transferred to the US call center (for Amazon, this is easily done as their folks are trained to do it; for the airlines, just hang up and call back) --It is sometimes better to give up, have a glass of wine and call back hours later.
