Anyone ever thought that maybe darkness isnt a lack of light but a light itself? Increasing the strength of one simply pushes back the other. Since we need one type of light to see we assume its the only kind even while another may be right beneath our noses. Also we have devices to detect other forms of light like infrared, gamma rays, etc. We dont understand darkness very well which is why many things involving it are heavily tied to the word Unknown or Negative It is often associated with fear as well. Even though most of us prefer to sleep in it. Which leads me to believe its is actually necessary for our survival. Darkness seems more natural because its existence is indefinite unlike light. Darkness is eternal yet as far as i know you can only recognize it after witnessing the existence of light. Just some thoughts. It makrs me wonder how different the world would be if we were born with something other than eyes that detect light, as they do now, or born without any eyes at all.
