Anyone for some floor hockey? Its almost time for CONVERGE 2014! And I am looking forward to some serious hockey against Zane Black! Yes I am ready after experiencing my CONVERGE MIRACLE! Last night at the Hub I was engaged in a friendly game of 4 on 4. The game was on the line and there I was, inspired by the real #23 tongue out and driving the lane. It all happened in slow motion, the lights, the inspirational music, (Kenny G) of course, ESPN was ready for the play of the week, Disney was hiring the director, and then collapse! It was one of the moments where your brain and your stomach work together due to the pain shooting through your ankle as it spins like a broken compass! Your brain sends the signal to your stomach and this uncontrollable primal growl rises from within and exits like a squeal from a preschooler! You know what I am talking about. And there I lay. The pain was real and having played enough sports and worked through enough injuries I knew it wasnt good. Alright enough dramatics. I hobbled home knowing this isnt good and upset because its Converge week! The pain kept me up and this morning I was hobbling/crawling/crying around the house figuring I better go to Urgent Care. I was miserable! And then I received some texts from some awesome friends that said they were praying for me. I laid back down and thought Ill give it till tomorrow. Glad I did! When the kids got home I got up, did homework with them, cooked one of Gabbys favorite dinners, and am still upright and nearly pain free! My ankle still looks like a tennis ball decided to hibernate there for the winter but is shrinking. I am excited and ready for some hockey and an unbelievable time at Converge! Bring it Zane!
