Anyone here ever have inheritance issues with the spouse of your deceased parent?? Bringing it up only because Im so desperately broke, trying to pay for my two kitties ongoing vet bills... One recently diagnosed with diabetes and the other with recurring UTIs. At this point now, I should be fairly comfortable (not super comfy) with my finances, since my dads trust expired end of October, meaning all funds in the trust gets distributed among my two brothers and myself. Its not sizable, but will help.... Till this day things are lagging as... my stepmother (the trustee) sends us a letter from her attorney stating the accounting (and therefore distribution) will take MONTHS. I asked her months and months ago if she could prepare for this, since one of my brothers and myself are struggling financially. Wrote her letters, I BEGGED... I just now left another voicemail asking her how this can be expedited...told her the truth...I dont want to euthanize my kitty because I didnt have the funds. Im too broke, to get my own atty...
