Anyone know anything about smartling? I got an interesting email from someone there the other day: Hi Trudy! [name removed] I was just reading through your site, and thought Id reach out to you. I think sign language is an amazing skill set, and hope to someday learn it myself. Anyway, Im currently working on a project involving sign language. I was hoping youd be interested in helping to spread awareness about the importance of sign language by writing a post about it on your blog. If we can educate more people about sign language, then we can help connect people and break down some communication barriers. Let me know if youd be interested in helping to spread the word, and I looking forward to speaking with you soon! Umm...think I need to write more about sign language? :) In all seriousness, Im a bit disturbed by this email. So wanted to see if anyone knew anything about this company? Or is it another spoken language agency trying to benefit (profit?) from ASL interpreting income?
