Anyone need a therapy dog? well apparently the owners of this one because of personal problems think that is more important than this guys life so they took him to the kill shelter in Manhattan. Owner surrenders die first in shelters (fact). He is crying because he has no idea why they left him behind. Manhattan Center GOYA - A1024494 * IN AN AC&C FOSTER HOME/NOT AT THE SHELTER * IF INTERESTED IN ADOPTING GOYA, EMAIL [email protected]* AVERAGE HOME * NEUTERED MALE, TAN, PIT BULL MIX, 4 yrs OWNER SUR - EVALUATE, NO HOLD Reason PERS PROB Intake condition UNSPECIFIE Intake Date 01/02/2015, From NY 10456, DueOut Date 01/02/2015, Medical Behavior Evaluation BLUE Medical Summary Scanned negative QARH Mild dental tartar Tense and nervous Neutered Activyl applied for fleas prevention Nosf Weight 88.4 A volunteer writes: Like the works of his artist namesake, Goya is truly a masterpiece. Hes the dog of any familys dreams, a big mushy teddy bear with a heart of gold to match his beautiful coat and the loveliest, gentlest and most intelligent nature you could hope to meet. Hes lived in harmony with cats, a Chihuahua and 3 young children and were told he was especially good with his 4 year old special needs sister, alerting the family when she was about to have a seizure and even going so far as to lay himself on the ground as a buffer in case she fell. He knows commands for sit (though hell do it without any prompting if offered a treat), give paw and lie down, comes when called, walks well on leash and seems to be very house trained. Any dog we pass is greeted with happy good manners and he softly wags his tail for every human who reaches out a hand in friendship. Off-leash in the yard Goya is a bit lost and we try to keep the pitiful missing-my-family whines at bay with some ball play and a cuddle session on the bench. Hes a big boy at almost 90 pounds but that doesnt stop him resting his paws on my knees like any good lapdog would and we lean into each other for comfort on this cold winters night. No rock could be steadier than the furry hunk leaning against my side and its easy to picture him back where he belongs, snuggled up safe and warm with a loving forever family. Goyas already neutered and ready to walk out the door right now, please dont make him wait another lonely day.You can call (212) 788-4000 for automated instructions...https://youtube/watch?v=qGVmRsWJY2c
