Anyone new to dressage might find this interesting/helpful - When I first started dressage a couple of years ago I was told that it is preferable to showing in the respect that the scoring/judging is more measurable, and I agree with that as each movement is assets! That said, it has to be taken into account that it is also still very much opinion based and those opinions can vary considerably, as these two score sheets demonstrate. These two sheets were scored/judged at the BD Team Quest finals for the very same test. I found this to be educational and has taught me that if I take a bad score, it MAY just mean that it wasn’t my day and it no longer deflates me as it once did! Some judges score high...some low!! :)
