Anyone want to speculate on what the reaction would have been if Secretary Duncan had made such a condescending slur on ANY group except white suburban moms. The arrogance of Washington bureaucrats who think after almost 50 years of spending BILLIONS of dollars on one scheme after another to improve education with very little to show for it, they have finally come up with the one perfect idea that will solve all the problems of education from Laredo to Los Angeles and from Bismark to Boston. While most white suburban moms may not have a good grasp of statistics (after all most kids are average - by definition), they do pay a lot of the property taxes that support their schools. They probably think that gives them the right to have a significant say in how those schools are run.
