Anyone watch the Mayor of Fergusons press conference just now? I was holding back tears as all the wonderful community leaders, mostly blacks, from clergy to council people and others in leadership, all took turns pleading for peace and healing and reconciliation. These people are truly hurting, as the things they work hard for all through the years are just the opposite of the senseless stupidity that has ravished this community, and was sadly on display last night. One African American leader, a woman, boldly said, It is time we stop pointing fingers and look within ourselves. There is nothing I can add to that. With one simple sentence, she nailed the truth square on the head.
