Anyone who follows IIFYM (flexible dieting) CORRECTLY tracks calories, protein, carbs, fats, fiber and takes the time to observe their energy balance (whether in a calorie surplus, maintenance or deficit). They eat wholefoods, occasionally making allowances for processed foods. Flexible dieters still go to their favourite butchers... some buy organic (some dont) some work in a particular approach that matches their personal preference, such as Intermittent Fasting. Also, simply because they are normal human beings (like the rest of you dieting enthusiasts), they refuse to eat food that doesnt agree with them (ie, food that they are allergic to). Theyre mindful of their training schedule, they are fairly meticulous about their programming and they often take the time to research various studies, review a broad range of data and VALUE EVIDENCE instead of blindly following a bunch of pre or post workout nutritional rituals. They do NOT label their food (clean), they do NOT unnecessarily destroy their social lives for the sake of following an extremist view (raw, vegan, primate, etc). This approach has been dubbed by the ignorant as the lazy way of doing things. Apparently, its a fad. Apparently, the non lazy way to do things is to pretend that our bodies have a special place for crap food and a special place for clean food. Apparently, we should just demonize any food that doesnt grow out of the ground or walk the earth before it ends up on our plate. Apparently, we should just shut up and eat within our 45 minute anabolic window or our gains will be completely wasted. To those people who insist that flexible dieting or IIFYM is the lazy approach, I say go eat your lettuce and be sad..Enjoy your #chickenbroccolilife and good luck with your late night binges while nobody is looking (Its ok, nobody knows youre doing it. The only person who will ever know about it is you). While youre busy not being lazy, you might take the time to educate yourself about how IIFYM actually works instead of judging the method without understanding it. Oh and inb4, Oh some people who IIFYM are extremists... Those people arent doing it right and your clean eating, paleo, vegan, seed only, high fat keto ass diet also has extremists - at least we have actual scientific data to back our methods, so stick that ice cream covered poptart in your pipe and EAT IT (only if it fits your macros). #iifym #flexibledieting #paleo #keto #cleaneating #vegan #raw #insulin #cinnamon #whoslazynow #idiotsgonnaidiot #canyousmellwhattherockiscooking
