Anyone who has ever supervised a child cleaning their room knows its sheer torture, especially when its the bedroom of one of the creative-type children. So. Many. Tiny. Little. Things! My 8 yo is one of those, and Ive learned that if I say Clean your room, she is completely paralyzed and gets nothing done. If I go back in three days (after Im completely frustrated and her room looks exactly the same) and put/sweep every tiny little thing into one huge pile and say, Put this all away, she has it happily done in 30 minutes. Its all in the perspective for her brain, I guess! What are your tips for making the room cleaning job easier (besides singing the Barney clean up song 297 times)?
