Anyone who has had a dig into the historicity of Jesus will know that the evidence is, at best, slim, and with a colder eye, closer to non-existent. Yet this video is taken as presenting overwhelming evidence for his existence. Perhaps it is time we just accept that these folks would be persuaded by an image on a piece of toast, so long as the image was what they wanted; rationality is not part of their mental processing in these matters (though they may be perfectly normal in other, non-religious, questions. I dont think that religion and science are at war, as that implies some sort of common ground for the conflict, and that seems to be untrue for the majority of combatants. Equally, I dont find myself strongly drawn to Goulds different magisteria argument. All I am left with is that these people are in some form delusional. (I would say in the clinical sense, but will accept, for convenience, the common usage sense.) Other perspectives/thoughts/whatever welcome...
