Anyway, we were accommodated in a good hotel in Shanghai for the weather situation by Air China, that was not the problem... shahaiinternationalhotel/cn/index.php The problem was the attitude and the way of lack of any proper communication between different organizations (Air China, the bus driver and the hotel) and lack of adequate care for people from different nationalities - may be Chinese people cannot feel that, but me understanding what they do said in Chinese to the Chinese and nothing they said in any other language to the rest of the travelers. All that is showing me a significant difference how the Chinese tourists are treated in Japan for example - as super VIP customers - that is unlikely the case when I and few other Japanese are in area close to Pudong International Airport... In addition, I do know for sure now that in Japan one engineer is already lower standard as income than China taking into account the ratio of income and daily necessities and restaurant bills... Anyway, may be my opinion is a minority one, but my 5 days experience staying in modern China is very mixed, much better in Suzhou than in Shanghai...
