Users anticipate instant access to all business functions an enterprise can offer, regardless of which system the functionality may reside in. This requires integration of disparate applications. Designing integration solutions is a challenging task. Apache has taken up the challenge of building such an intelligent integration framework, the Camel. This webinar is to give an overview of Apache Camel, which is an open source integration framework based on Enterprise Integration Patterns. Camel enables us to define routing and mediation rules in a variety of domain-specific languages, such as Java-based Fluent API, Spring or Blueprint XML Configuration files, and a Scala DSL. Apache Camel uses URIs to work directly with various kind of Transport or messaging models such as HTTP, ActiveMQ, JMS, CXF. It supports Bean Binding and seamless integration with popular frameworks such as Spring, Blueprint, etc. It also has extensive support for unit testing the routes. As the growth/need of enterprise systems are massive, integration of such systems is also quite complex. Apache camel simplifies this integration process.
