Apart from Southampton FC, who i personally think IF it was an Individual, could have topped FORBES list of Businessman of the year (i know!!, am exaggerating) for its outstanding deals this transfer window, the next team that pops up in mind is Chelsea FC: I would say this is their best year of sales in the entire 10 year history of the club (I know Chelsea was established in 1905, but from that time to 2004, Chelsea fans dont talk about it, its like a CIA Classified file) Their sale begun in January, where Mata who we all know isnt a typical Mou player, was sold to a team who had the same kinda player in Kagawa, making that purchase by United one of the panic of buys i have ever witnessed (Woodward was trying to save his ass). Anyways, on to Chelsea, they sold David Luiz for an astonishing fee of £50m to PSG and just yesterday Lukaku. These three sales alone have amassed some good amount of money However, most Chelsea fans aint happy about the sale of Lukaku, thinking, he was the best back up for Costa, if not played together ( I agree) But!!! One thing Chelsea fans are forgetting is the fact that they have two wingers who can provide atleast 25-30 goals combined a season (Hazard and Oscar) and also two players that can play a false number 9, one being the second best false 9 in the world, just next to Messi, in FABREGAS. The other is Schurlle. Therefore, the need to get rid of atleast a striker as playing time aint guaranteed for all Who do u sell??? Fans are asking, y not Torres?? Ok. This is where financial play comes in, u got to sell to buy or balance ur books. With all due respect, can anyone sell the current Torres to balance his books?? Nope!! Then definitely the inform Lukaku, who wants more game time and cannot be guaranteed, as he falls second in the striking order to Costa got to go. Also u got to avoid dressing room scuffles. The reason he got sold. But FFP was more keen This leaves Mou with one inform striker in Costa. What if he gets injured??? Thats where ur false 9 comes in. This is where the formation i love to call sniper and stealth comes to play: a striker is deployed as the jarhead, this situation, Drogba, but the false 9 played by FABREGAS as an assist striker will be the stealth u dont see coming. In short, Drogba is used as a decoy. Or Mou can easily shift his formation to a 4-3-3 and deploy a typical false 9. With a front three of Hazard and Oscar at wings and Fab the Jarhead (The same formation Barca had mostly from 09 till date. One top striker and a false 9 in Messi) With much as I may hate as well as u , Mou has really given a structure to this current Chelsea team, just after a year and as a football fan as I am, I can easily predict a Chelsea starting 11 and are easily the favorites to win the EPL. ( Hate to admit that, but its the truth) Why would they win?? Because this Chelsea team has something thats not in the dictionary of the current Real Madrid team: due to its current purchases after their La Decima. I mean Mou has a La Balance. The Chelsea team is balanced and for Madrid to achieve La Balance, Ancelloti got to have some balls and step on toes!!! Thats my opinion though... I may be right or wrong!!! Thanks
