Apologies for the quality and distance of this video. I was filming from just inside my front door trying to capture this late night flare. Just prior to this a flare came from the stack that lit up the night sky like orange lightning but sadly it was over in less than a second. Site workers are now powering up the covered flare stack about an hour before flaring begins. I believe they might be doing this in an attempt to catch us unawares as to when flaring starts. Normally they would power up the stack and flare within minutes. This would be heads up enough for us to start filming but now... b powering up and leaving the stack running... we find ourselves unable to record continuously for that whole hour... So in effect they do catch us unawares when they begin to actually flare. That said... I may have missed the orange lightning flare but I got this. This flare isnt anywhere near as powerful as the one my camera corrupted on after the 7 day shut down but I hope it gives you some indication as to what we are looking at almost nightly.
