Apparently, my timing in deciding to be a responsible car owner and do some costly scheduled maintenance is a good deed that wont go unpunished. The next night I discovered my central air stuck on high and trying to burn the place down. Thats gonna cost about twice what I can scrape up between cash-on-hand and credit, so today, without a lot of optimism, I have to go beg the bank for a bigger line of credit. I blame my parents for shitty genes that made me a) mathematically and therefore financially challenged, and b) not attractive enough to land a rich husband.
