Apparently not everyone saw my update in the thread I made about Gordon - so Im posting a new one. Gordon has been moved out of ICU but is still in the hospital. He has been officially diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. He will live with it for the ret of his life. His pancreas has shut down and does not produce insulin. He should be out of hospital in a couple of days. He will be on 5 injections a day and 4 blood sugar tests a day. When I arrive we will be meeting with an endocrinologist to look into other treatment options - possibly an insulin pump. With this diagnoses, Gordon will no longer be able to serve in the Army as per Army regulations. There will be a long medical board process to discharge him. We will be moving back to AZ and trying to start over. We covet your prayers during this time. It is scary and uncertain. I will update as information is gathered. I will be with him on Sunday. Hopefully he will be released from the hospital tomorrow.
