Apparently our house was chosen out of all the other houses on the street to have to do this census report, so a few weeks ago I hear someone knock on the door and its a woman (from the census bureau) shes talking to my mom and asking if we received the package in the mail and is explaining the above sentence to my mom. Mom then tells her she will get to it she just has been extremely busy with everything that was going on. Well a week past and Im sitting in the living room and theres a knock on the door. Danelle answered the door and it was the census lady again. Well I then go to the door to tell her my mom isnt home and there stands an older woman with a wig on, she goes on to say I knw exactly what you are going through, I just dont want you all to get in trouble for not filling out this form. I invite her in and tell her I will fill it out. She then said I love your beanie, I cant find any like tht. She said I wear scarfs when I get at home but this wig while Im at work. I told her I didnt have any scarfs cause I didnt knw how to tie them. We then continued talking abt our diseases, she telling me shes terminal and just began some meds to help prolong her life. I told her I had just found out I was terminal and I was going to begin some new meds tht I was hoping wild give me more years. She asked how old I was and I told her 30!! She said I read this article abt a new trial at James brown, do you care if I drop it back off to you and I said of course not. A week or so past and I was in my room and there was another knock at the door, a few mins later my mom brought and envelope back to me. It had the article clipping, two scarfs and a card in it,,she had told my mom I had touched her! I dont remember if I had shared this with anyone yet so if so here it is again! Its amazing how wonderful and how beautiful people still are in this world thats full of so much pain! I want the census lady to knw she touched my heart as well!
