Apparently the parents are now in charge of teaching spelling. Lists sent home and a detailed note telling us parents what is to be done when and that the books will be checked each day.... hmm. Looks like almost none of it is in class except the teachers handing out lists of words and making sure the parents did the work with the child. I dont think these teachers will like me much with all my questions, and I will be volunteering to be in the lunch room every day to make sure my kid eats if necessary. Children are now supposed to write their name and seat number on their papers and while my daughter explained to me that this was because the teachers have the kids pass out papers and they dont read names so well...I still get the feeling that the kids are the numbers instead of being live children... I know that I have plenty of teachers on my list here so please feel free to enlighten me before I lose my mind and regret sending him to school.
