Apparently there is talk amongst some commentators whether the Liberal Party is lurching too much to the left. Ya thaink?! lol... We know voters here generally arent attracted to either the extreme left or right side of politics, hence why the Greens did well when Bob Brown presented himself as a moderate (forgetting all those rather nasty little anti-Australian policies they had, and conveniently not remembering the number of unrepentant communists who were Greens candidates). Pauline Hanson struck a chord, as did Clive until people realised their policies were either dotty, in the case of One Nation, or liable to change on the whim of a egotistical leader in the case of Clive. Which leaves where the real electoral battle ground is likely to be, and that battle ground is Centre. The Coalition lurching centre-left is a crazy mistake; Labor owns centre-left and is credible there. The Coalition will never be. Leaving the only place the Coalition will be credible is centre-right and they might need to do this soon....there are already rumours of some disgruntled supporters publicly stating they are so annoyed over the Coalitions lurch to the left, that they seriously will vote informal next election. Lose the centre right voters, Coalition, and youve lost the next election, and will replace an average Government with an unrepentant stupid ALP one...
