Apparently they just passed a new law to make the lives of cdl holders even more difficult. When you get stopped (in your car btw) and your suspected of being under the influence, you can be charged with DUI for blowing a .04 (half of the normal legal limit) but thats old news. Now apparently after getting a DUI (again not in a commercial vehicle) you automatically lose your cdl for 6 months and get locked up for 30 days mandatory. So in essence if I drink a beer and a half and get pulled over, I will lose my job, get a month of jail time, basically be financially destroyed, lose my license for 6 months and not be able to get a job for 5 years. Oh yea and this is for your first offense btw. Wtf is wrong with this country? Yet pedophiles can get as little as a year in prison. And people wonder why I never want to come out to the bars.
