Appeal for assistance to help this poorly boy. Well, so much for me not being a softie! This little fella has been hanging around the stables (Dhekelia Saddle Club) for the past week and one could get near him. On Saturday I finally managed to get a hold of him with a little help from my big hound Bobby. The poor guy has a serious injury to his front leg. I took him to see the vet today (Michalis Louka in Oroklini) who said that he has no feeling in the leg at all and the best course of action would be to amputate. I had “decided” in advance to have him put down if the injury was serious, as I cannot afford the cost, but when push came to shove I could not bring myself to do it. This is an appeal for help to cover the cost of the operation, which Michalis has said is around the €200 mark. I would also like help in finding him a home. The dog seems to be a few months old and pure bred Doberman, he is very friendly, interacts well with humans, other dogs and he’s not at all bothered by cats.
