Appeal for donations for relief to flood affected people in Uttarakhand. Incessant rains and cloud bursts in higher reaches of Uttarakhand has caused havoc of unprecedented scale. Flash floods have swept away thousand of buildings, houses, men and animals and have also caused damage to roads, bridges and other infrastructure. Despite all out efforts by the Government, military and para military forces normaly may not be restored in near future. Relief operations are in full swing with army , air force and para military personnel doing commendable job in rescuing people from places rendered inaccessible due to flood and rains. The army has launched its largest rescue and relief operation ever to help those stranded in the state. Over 15000 people are reported rescued till 20th June. Number of people still stranded is estimated to be over 60000 but may be much more. Government estimates apart number of deceased in recent calamity may be over 10000 as per eye witnesses. In this time of national disaster we appeal to everybody to donate liberally to prime Minister Relief Fund and CM relief Fund. Our organization is engaged in relief operations by providing free shelter and food to the affected people in Jayalgarh. A team of volunteers has left for Rudraprayag to provide food to the stranded people. We appeal to all to donate liberally and help us in serving the people who need us most in this hour of crisis.
