Appeal to drivers and pedestrians after Scarborough woman assaulted in road Police in Scarborough are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted in St Thomas Street. The incident happened in the middle of the road at around 3pm on Saturday 11 October 2014. Traffic had to stop to avoid the victim and offender and officers believe that due to the time of day, there were a lot of people in the area who could have seen the incident. Officers are appealing to both motorists and people who were in the street to contact them with any information they have about the assault. The woman suffered bruising to her neck during the assault.
